ALL ABOUT ALCARH

ALCARH is the Alabama association of the national organization of the Council for Affordable & Rural Housing (CARH).

CARH, which was founded in 1980, is the country's leading advocate for the development, financing, management, and ownership of affordable rental housing. These programs include Rural Housing Service, HOME, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and other programs.

As one of CARH's state associations, ALCARH's mission is in part to represent the views and concerns of its members before Congress and other appropriate officials at the Department of Treasury, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA), and the Rural Housing Service (RHS).
